ANUMA is pleased to announce the ACT Muslim Youth Forum's upcoming event: A public lecture by young Australian lawyer and Muslim leader, Waleed Aly. 

Waleed Aly is an executive committee member of the Islamic Council of Victoria and  is the Council's head of public affairs. Waleed Aly is also a frequent commentator on Australian Muslim Affairs and was a panel member on the popular SBS show Salaam Cafe. When in Canberra, Waleed Aly will discuss the topic:

'Can Muslims live in harmony in the West and still follow Islam?'

As well as addressing the above topic, Waleed will discuss his experiences at the recent inauguration of President Obama and will share his thoughts on the changing face and force of Muslims in the USA.
